Welcome!

It gives me tremendous pleasure to welcome you and your family to Pine Street School, a school energized with the passion of some of New York City’s best educators and a vision for learning that extends far beyond the 21st century.

I believe languages open up doors and a world of opportunity and relationships. I believe that we are in an age of technology that will explode the potential for what children can do as curious and fearless inquirers and problem solvers. And I believe passionately in “city as source” and a rich, engaging, experiential learning environment for children. The architecture, landscape and texture of our community are alive with growth and change and there is important history on every block of our neighborhood.

I founded Pine Street School as both an experienced educator and a devoted and longtime resident of Lower Manhattan. Today we bring these beliefs to life through our enrolled student and community programming. I hope your family will find inspiration, friendship, and growth here that will last a lifetime.

Warmly,

Jennifer Jones, Founder and Director
