Adrian was born in New Jersey while his dad was a post-doc at Princeton. By the time he was 2, his family had moved to Providence, Rhode Island where he lived for the next 20 years. His parents immigrated from the former Yugoslavia in the mid-70's.
Mexico is her home country and where her love for Spanish comes from. She grew up in Arizona and moved to New York six years ago. Janise obtained her Bachelors in Psychology from The Arizona State University and her Masters in Early Childhood Education from Teachers College, Columbia University.

Sebastián was born in Cordoba, Spain. At the age of 8, his family moved to the Canary Islands where he studied until the age of 19. Then, he moved to Madrid where he started his Teaching career.
One of our native New Yorkers, Melissa grew up in a trilingual household. Having her parents from Ecuador and Portugal; she often traveled with them throughout South America and Europe.
Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Sophia grew up in New Zealand and France. She obtained a Bachelors in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA, and a Master of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA.
Paola has been involved in education her entire life, pursuing that passion in Paraguay, Chile, and Israel. She holds her Spanish Teacher certification from Instituto Cervantes and B.A. in Communication from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Colombia.
Nadia has over 10 years of experience mentoring, educating and caring for children. She joined Green Ivy Schools in 2014. Nadia holds B.A. in English Literature and she completed her Montessori certificate and IB Primary Years Programme Level I training.
Verónica received a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Brooklyn College and will obtain her Masters of Art in Bilingual Teaching in 2019. A native Spanish speaker, Verónica was born and raised in the Dominican Republic and has been living in the States for the past seven years.

Originally from Spain, Cristina joined Green Ivy Schools through the Spanish Embassy's intercultural exchange program, Visiting Teachers in the U.S. She taught at IB schools in Thailand and the Czech Republic before coming to Pine Street School in 2015.

Diana holds a B.F.A. in Theater and Fine Arts from Pace University and a Master's from Teachers College, Columbia University, and her NYS Elementary School teacher certification. Diana has spent her career teaching in both public and independent schools.
Leslie received her Early Childhood Education degree in Guatemala, where she grew up. She has worked as a preschool and elementary teacher for more than ten years and taught Spanish to Middle and High School students in the Czech Republic for two years.
Claudia has a B.A. in Early Childhood from Universidad de La Sabana in Bogotá, Colombia. Originally from Texas, she moved to Colombia when she was 12 and grew up speaking two languages. Claudia completed her IB Primary Years Programme Category I training.
Karina has a B.A. in Speech Language Pathology, Audiology and Linguistics from City University of New York. She completed her Montessori certificate and IB Primary Years Programme Level I training. She's bilingual in English and Spanish and learning Turkish.
Originally from Colombia, Marcela has a B.A in Spanish education from the College of Staten Island CUNY, where she was the Spanish Club representative. She also obtained a Latin American, Caribbean, and Latina/o studies certification.
