Dual Language Immersion
At Pine Street School, students have two teachers in the classroom, each working in English or Spanish/Mandarin Chinese in small groups, all day long. Academic content is taught and assessed in two languages over an extended period of time. Due to small group teaching and individualized learning plans, the rate of fluency is higher than a standard language immersion program.
