Diana Alutto

Elementary Teacher

Diana has her MA in Curriculum and Teaching from Teachers College-Columbia University and a BFA from Pace University. She holds a teaching license from New York State; Grade 1-6.  Diana grew up in New York and is returning after teaching at an IB school in Tokyo, Japan for the past five years. Previously, she taught at Pine Street School for 4 years from 2016-2020.  Diana likes to marry classroom structure and intellectual rigor with inquiry and play based learning while fostering a tight knit, supportive community of learners.

While living in Japan, she picked up a little bit of Japanese which allowed her to travel to all 47 prefectures in the country.  She enjoys photography (she never goes anywhere without her camera), and going to theme parks - She loves roller coasters!  Diana is just as happy in nature as she is in the city. She is excited to be back home in New York City and PSS after a long hiatus.
