At Pine Street School, our academic program is a dynamic blend of innovation and tradition, grounded in the globally recognized International Baccalaureate (IB) framework. Beginning with Montessori-inspired early years and continuing through a rigorous inquiry-based curriculum, students are empowered to take ownership of their learning. Our unique approach integrates Spanish or Mandarin language immersion at every stage, fostering cognitive flexibility, cultural fluency, and a deep sense of global citizenship. From preschool through middle school, Pine Street students grow as confident, compassionate thinkers—ready to thrive in a complex and interconnected world.

Middle School

In our Middle School (Grades 6-8), students step into greater independence as thinkers, leaders, and change makers. With meaningful inquiry and real-world connections, they deepen their skills and discover who they are—both as learners and as global citizens.

Arts, Music & Drama

Creativity comes to life through our vibrant arts programs. From painting and performing to singing and storytelling, students of all ages express themselves, build confidence, and find joy in the creative process—both as individuals and collaborators.

Language
Immersion

At Pine Street School, students embark on a language immersion journey from infancy through 8th grade. Our youngest learners experience Trilingual Immersion, followed by Dual Immersion in Preschool and Partial Immersion from Kindergarten on—spending a third of each day in Spanish or Mandarin. Cultural field trips and international travel further enrich the experience. Our goal: to build conversational fluency, cultural competence, and prepare students for advanced language placement in high school.

Athletics &  PE

Movement, teamwork, and healthy habits are at the heart of our physical education program. Through active play, skill-building, and sportsmanship, students of all ages gain confidence, stay active, and discover the joy of physical activity—on and off the field.

Early Childhood

At Pine Street Preschool, children ages 12 months–4 years old thrive in a warm, nurturing environment where curiosity leads the way. Through play and connection, they begin building the skills that spark a lifelong love of learning.
